Jars, baseball,Salvador, Pillar, Free Downloads *again?! The Edge

<a href="http://shirtorskin.com/">"Shirt or Skin"</a>  -- a source of free mp3 downloads plus funny banners.

If you have an Itunes US Account :: look for Nettwerks's "Indoor Picnic Music" 4 USD Sampler CD for a new song by Jars of Clay and Leigh Nash etc.

Jars of Clay has joined forces with minor league baseball's Nashville Sounds for the team's Faith Night series. The Sounds have partnered with the rockers' Blood:Water Mission organization, for which they will raise funds during a June 27 game against the Memphis Redskins. The funds will be used to build a clean-water well for an African community. Jars will perform an hour before the 7 p.m. game at Greer Stadium. Look for the band's seventh project, Good Monsters, on September 5.

After a two-year absence from recording, hard rockers Pillar have posted a new song, "Everything," on their <a href="http://www.purevolume.com/pillar">PureVolume</a > and <a href="http://www.myspace.com/pillar">MySpace</a> pages. The track is the first single from their forthcoming fourth album, The Reckoning, which the quartet expects to release on October 4. According to recent postings, there are also plans for an EP and a tour.

Latin pop/rock powerhouse Salvador will release its fifth studio album, Dismiss the Mystery, on August 29. Co-produced by frontman Nic Gonzalez and keyboardist Chris Bevins, the album was recorded at Willie Nelson's renowned Pedernales Studio and co-penned by Gonzalez and songwriting buffs <b>Cindy Morgan, Matt Bronleewe, Chris Rodriguez, and Jason Ingram</b>. "With this album we had an opportunity to change our style and alter our sound," said Gonzalez, only to add, "[but] we chose not to."

Now for some shocking news.

Hey! What if you could listen to Christian Music everyday on FM radio...in Manila?

Tomorrow. July 1, Saturday, yes 2006!

Get ready.

Hi. This is Jomar. This is a project that has been brewing for 2 years now.

A long time ago, there was a 1hour Christian Rock Music show on Nu107 FM called Against the Flow. Its still there - at 1pm on Sunday.

But what we really wanted was a commercial radio station on FM - that plays good music both musically and in lyrical content. Not just the removal of "cursing" and "booty talk". More than that - messages that actually encourage, pick you up, help you live Abundantly.

Its time this happened. Its time people plug in the messages of God into their brains, even if subliminally. Why not? Everybody else who has a product to sell wants to do that.

Starting this Saturday, July 1 @ 6pm-July 2 @6am --You can now tune in to 91.5 FM and listen to a completely NEW set of music. This is music I grew up with. Some people will find that funny, maybe strange, me being radically Catholic and all - but for some - that's perfectly normal.

It may be called "Christian Music" - with all its accompanying negative vibes - but wait till you listen to it. The songs have been carefully selected, even the sequence. Its professional radio through-and-through -helmed by the person who helped kick start NU107 in its heydey - Ron Titular.

Manila is in for a blast!

This is not mellow music, this is not gregorian chants. This is Jars of Clay, Lifehouse, Switchfoot, POD, Pillar, Stacie Orico, Rachael Lampa, and so much more --bands you've never heard of - but should be heard!   We're not playing all their songs - only those who pass a certain kind of quality.

Its time for something REALLY new.
